Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Abe Bellamy made the kick off and thus started the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alden's Abe Bellamy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rob Neal. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Carlos Dobbs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Neal having to interfere. In the 8th minute Abe Bellamy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Neal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Quentin Belanger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quentin Belanger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Del Carrington got free with Rob Neal in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the game, Carlos Dobbs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boys of Riverdrive FC the free kick. Carlos Dobbs kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Boys of Riverdrive FC's Rob Neal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Boys of Riverdrive FC from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Kurtis Ellis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boys of Riverdrive FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alden fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the Boys of Riverdrive FC defense, Del Carrington kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rob Neal. The Boys of Riverdrive FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rob Neal should have stopped the shot. Boys of Riverdrive FC's Kristopher Nesbitt got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 33 played minutes Alden got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Dobbs. Quentin Belanger's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Rob Neal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 37th minute, Abe Bellamy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Alvin Walsh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quinton Sewell was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Del Carringtons short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Rob Neal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Quentin Belanger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Neal having to interfere. A collision led to Alden getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Abe Bellamy hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvin Walsh made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Alden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grady Cotton to maneuver through the defense. Melvin Acuna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Quinton Sewell. Alden's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Quentin Belanger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Del Carrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rob Neal having to interfere. Del Carrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Rob Neal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abe Bellamy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Del Carrington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvin Walsh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quinton Sewell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Domenic Numbers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quinton Sewell having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Alden's Quentin Belanger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rob Neal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Del Carrington struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rob Neal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alden. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Del Carrington in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rob Neal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Del Carrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rob Neal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Del Carrington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Alden's Quentin Belanger got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Edgar Horne charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Horne the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, one of Alden:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alden. Quinton Sewell went to the wrong direction when Melvin Acuna was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Alden fully deserved thier win.
