An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshall Stoner in the 8th minute of play forced Seaford Glory's goalkeeper Richard Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes Seaford Glory got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Vang. Sawgrass's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Desmond Garland scored to the left of an out of position Duane Carbajal, making the score, 1-0. When Desmond Garland came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Seaford Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Desmond Garland couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Vang in the 21st minute of play forced Sawgrass's goalkeeper Duane Carbajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Marshall Stoner notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Seaford Glory's Richard Santos. Richard Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Cobi Holt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Desmond Garland was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Bart Devine put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Duane Carbajal. After having played for 57 minutes, Timmy Vang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seaford Glory's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy Vang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bart Devine in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duane Carbajal saved Sawgrass from getting behind. Duane Carbajal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Desmond Garland went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Seaford Glory made a substitution. Kevin Epperson replaced Denis Sheehan. Sawgrass's Duane Carbajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond Garland in the 81st minute of play. If Bart Devine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desmond Garland in the 88th minute of play forced Sawgrass's goalkeeper Duane Carbajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sawgrass's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
