The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilbert Woodson came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club Corinthians's Sebastian Jayvier. But to his dismay, Sebastian Jayvier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gilbert Woodson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Cambiasso in the 9th minute of play. Gabriel Rogers kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Sebastian Jayvier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Woodson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sebastian Jayvier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Air Nomads's Gilbert Woodson got control of the ball when Sebastian Jayvier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, Sport Club Corinthians's Teofilo Fidele made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilbert Woodson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilbert Woodson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Jayvier in the 27th minute. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Sebastian Jayvier took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Gilbert Woodson to make any attempt to save it. Gilbert Woodson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilmer Ward in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Sebastian Jayvier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Gilbert Woodson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilbert Woodson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Jayvier in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Avery Joseph to make the kick off. Gilbert Woodson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Jayvier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Hank Simon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Corinthians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Air Nomads the free kick. The supporters of Air Nomads booed when Sport Club Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hank Simon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Jerrod Tripp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sebastian Jayvier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Sport Club Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Jayvier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Sport Club Corinthians's Acácio Vasco got control of the ball when Jerrod Tripp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Air Nomads's Gilbert Woodson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Jayvier in the 92nd minute of play. Gilbert Woodson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Fidele in the 95th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Air Nomads's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Fidele came free, but Gilbert Woodson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
