With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boyce Monroe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Rasmussen struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Greg Landis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilseck FC. 18 minutes into the match, Cortland's Enoch Holliday sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boyce Monroe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Enoch Holliday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 35 minutes, Ken Wray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cortland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ken Wray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boyce Monroe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enoch Holliday in the 36th minute of play. Aaron Rasmussen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Greg Landis made a huge save. Boyce Monroe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enoch Holliday's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Enoch Holliday scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boyce Monroe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaron Rasmussen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cortland's Enoch Holliday was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Cortland's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Rasmussen came free, but Greg Landis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enoch Holliday's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boyce Monroe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enoch Holliday in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boyce Monroe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Enoch Holliday's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boyce Monroe was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Boyce Monroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enoch Holliday, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Garret Huff hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Greg Landis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Enoch Holliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enoch Holliday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boyce Monroe having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vilseck FC's zone, Enoch Holliday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boyce Monroe came out of the goal and Enoch Holliday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Enoch Holliday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Vilseck FC's Boyce Monroe got control of the ball when Enoch Holliday tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Enoch Holliday took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Boyce Monroe to make any attempt to save it.
