Spectators: 7946 (Terracing: 6043, Seating: 1853, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Abdul Hatfield made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Jerrod Tripp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 3rd minute of the match Ian Cook shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilbert Woodson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Octavio Stahl came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hugo Todd could save by the left post. After 9 played minutes Newark Athletic Club got a freekick which was hit by Brice Lopes. A collision led to Newark Athletic Club getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ramiro Hanson hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, Abdul Hatfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilbert Woodson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Carey in the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Air Nomads's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Moss came free, but Gilbert Woodson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Air Nomads's Gilbert Woodson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Moss in the 15th minute of play. Lucien Moss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Moss in the 23rd minute of play forced Air Nomads's goalkeeper Gilbert Woodson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Air Nomads's Hugo Todd threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abdul Hatfield, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Octavio Stahl scored 1-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Todd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Abdul Hatfield fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ned Reed kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes Newark Athletic Club got a freekick which was hit by Ian Cook. After 44 played minutes Newark Athletic Club got a freekick which was hit by Lucien Moss. In the 47thth minute of the game Lucien Moss who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Air Nomads's Gilbert Woodson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bob Carey made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucien Moss got free with Gilbert Woodson in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 62 played minutes Newark Athletic Club got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Hanson. Everett Loyd's late challenge caught a Newark Athletic Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Everett Loyd helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th match minute, Air Nomads was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everett Loyd to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Air Nomads's Rocky Calloway got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Air Nomads's Richie Dykes got a free kick in the 67th minute. But to his dismay, Lucien Moss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 73rd minute Abdul Hatfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Todd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Woodson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucien Moss in the 76th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Newark Athletic Club's Lucien Moss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilbert Woodson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Emanuel MacKenzie kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute of the match Everett Loyd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Todd skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th minute, Octavio Stahl made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Todd. Newark Athletic Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Abdul Hatfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Woodson came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Newark Athletic Club's Lucien Moss. But to his dismay, Lucien Moss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. The Newark Athletic Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newark Athletic Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
