The Air Nomads fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilbert Woodson should have stopped the shot. If Abdul Hatfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Spencer came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Air Nomads's Abdul Hatfield. But to his dismay, Abdul Hatfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Mario Alvarado made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Air Nomads getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jerrod Tripp hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Wayne Hills Patriots defense, Octavio Stahl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Spencer. The Wayne Hills Patriots fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Spencer should have stopped the shot. When Mario Alvarado fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wayne Hills Patriots's protests and gave Mario Alvarado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Wayne Hills Patriots's Mario Alvarado got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Air Nomads booed when Wayne Hills Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taylor McMahon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdul Hatfield in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Spencer saved Wayne Hills Patriots from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Richie Dykes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Woodson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Alvarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Stahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Abdul Hatfield dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hans Spencer, 1-3. Jerrod Tripp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Spencer having to interfere. After 82 minutes, Taylor McMahon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wayne Hills Patriots and the Air Nomads players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Wayne Hills Patriots getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Taylor McMahon hit a great ball. Lucas Kaplan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilbert Woodson. Air Nomads's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hans Spencer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavio Stahl in the 92nd minute. Hans Spencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdul Hatfield in the 95th minute of the match. Air Nomads played a much better game than Wayne Hills Patriots and deserved their victory. The Wayne Hills Patriots players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
