When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Ignacio Harding took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lucien Moss to make any attempt to save it. In the 8th minute, Ignacio Harding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucien Moss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Langston in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Newark Athletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Harding came free, but Lucien Moss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brant Zuniga kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Newark Athletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Langston came free, but Lucien Moss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Avery Person notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Newark Athletic Club's Lucien Moss. Lucien Moss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th match minute, Newark Athletic Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brant Zuniga to maneuver through the defense. Lucien Moss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonard Langston's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Newark Athletic Club's Lucien Moss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Hutton in the 30th minute of play. Lucien Moss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Harding in the 32nd minute of play. After 32 played minutes Newark Athletic Club got a freekick which was hit by Jesus May. Ignacio Harding hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Leonard Langston took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Lucien Moss to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Newark Athletic Club getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jesus May hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Leonard Langston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucien Moss was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Leonard Langston capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonard Langston really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonard Langston was the one to do the kick off. Shane Hutton took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucien Moss. Lucien Moss dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 60th minute, Ignacio Harding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Hanson fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 62nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 64th minute Ignacio Harding shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucien Moss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Hutton in the 71st minute of play forced Newark Athletic Club's goalkeeper Lucien Moss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucien Moss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Craig Guerrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Lucien Moss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Harding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucien Moss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonard Langston went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score.
