The audience was convinced that Mario Alvarado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shawn Flanagan was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Mario Alvarado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anton Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Wayne Hills Patriots getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dillon Davies hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Mario Alvarado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Flanagan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Wayne Hills Patriots's Mario Alvarado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shawn Flanagan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 45thth minute of the game Mario Alvarado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Green Mountain Boys's Shawn Flanagan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Alvarado was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Alvarado in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shawn Flanagan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Green Mountain Boys's Scott Dooley got a free kick in the 55th minute. Taylor McMahon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Alvarado in the 60th minute of play forced Green Mountain Boys's goalkeeper Shawn Flanagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Wayne Hills Patriots got a corner. Green Mountain Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Taylor McMahon ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Taylor McMahon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Shawn Flanagan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Shawn Flanagan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Alvarado went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Mario Alvarado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Shawn Flanagan. The goal made the score 1-3. Wayne Hills Patriots's Taylor McMahon got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Green Mountain Boys getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ulysses Youngblood hit a great ball.
