The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mitch Ott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Enoch Holliday put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mitch Ott. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Josiah Barker got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cortland's zone, Lyle Bonds stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg Landis came out of the goal and Lyle Bonds tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enoch Holliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bob Leslie struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Mitch Ott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cortland. After 33 minutes, Titus Wong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors LA and the Cortland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Titus Wong kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cortland's Ken Wray tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors LA's Marlon Dickens got a free kick in the 37th minute. Josiah Barker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Landis having to interfere. Mitch Ott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enoch Holliday in the 44th minute of play. Mitch Ott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enoch Holliday in the 46th minute of the match. Titus Wong was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors LA's Titus Wong got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josiah Barker made a kick off. If Josiah Barker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ken Wray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cortland's supporters rose to their feet, but Ken Wray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitch Ott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boca Juniors LA's Mitch Ott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enoch Holliday in the 60th minute of play. When Cortland's Enoch Holliday in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boca Juniors LA's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josiah Barker in the 65th minute of play forced Cortland's goalkeeper Greg Landis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Marshall Tanner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Lyle Bonds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greg Landis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boca Juniors LA's Lyle Bonds got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Chang during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cortland getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Teodoro Chang hit a great ball. Mitch Ott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enoch Holliday in the 76th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Enoch Holliday shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Ott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enoch Holliday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Ott having to interfere. Mitch Ott stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enoch Holliday's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When Enoch Holliday fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cortland's protests and gave Enoch Holliday a yellow card for diving instead. Enoch Holliday kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
