Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leland Rubio kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Ryder got free with Whitney Swift in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolando Plummer during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of John Hartford FC booed when Sudden Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Plummer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leland Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Monte Higgins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, John Hartford FC's Christian Kruse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Monte Higgins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brendon Hollingsworth kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Leland Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Higgins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Whitney Swift showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Plummer, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Monte Higgins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leland Rubio in the 21st minute of the match. Jamar Platt charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamar Platt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sudden Valley FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! After 27 played minutes Sudden Valley FC got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Ryder. When Christian Kruse came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the John Hartford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Kruse couldn't finish the play. Christopher Ryder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Whitney Swift read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilton Lowery during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of John Hartford FC booed when Sudden Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Plummer didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Ryder to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the John Hartford FC defense, Brendon Hollingsworth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Whitney Swift. The John Hartford FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Whitney Swift should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Sudden Valley FC's Monte Higgins got control of the ball when Leland Rubio tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sudden Valley FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Brendon Hollingsworth hit a great ball. If Brendon Hollingsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tim Holzer fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sudden Valley FC's protests and gave Tim Holzer a yellow card for diving instead. When Leland Rubio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the John Hartford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leland Rubio couldn't finish the play. John Hartford FC made a substitution. Wayne MacKenzie replaced Wilton Lowery. Leland Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Tod Cronshagen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. John Hartford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tod Cronshagen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Hartford FC's Christian Kruse got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Leland Rubio put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Monte Higgins. After having played for 84 minutes, Wayne MacKenzie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. John Hartford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wayne MacKenzie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leland Rubio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Monte Higgins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tod Cronshagen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Leland Rubio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Monte Higgins was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After 93 played minutes, Sudden Valley FC's Jamar Platt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Whitney Swift came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sudden Valley FC reached it. When Christopher Ryder came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sudden Valley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Ryder couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded John Hartford FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sudden Valley FC.
