Jim Ruff ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, Pelé & Cosmos MZS's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Davenport came free, but Oren Nugent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Ruff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Oren Nugent made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Laughlin's Jim Ruff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oren Nugent narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfredo Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pelé & Cosmos MZS booed when Laughlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Ruff didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jim Ruff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Laughlin getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Walton Hirsch hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mitch Bates was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Pelé & Cosmos MZS's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Ruff came free, but Oren Nugent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laughlin's Will Oliver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cameron Busby in the 57th minute of play. Alfredo Davenport took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oren Nugent. Oren Nugent dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jim Ruff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oren Nugent having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Will Oliver successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute, Laughlin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cameron Busby fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jim Ruff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Laughlin booed when Pelé & Cosmos MZS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Sims didn't get a good kick on the ball.
