The supporters of Messi Daily Racing Form booed when Sells FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wallace Bell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Takis Oikonomopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wallace Bell, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Takis Oikonomopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wallace Fields, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jorge Gifford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Messi Daily Racing Form's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Gifford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Bloom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the game, Jorge Gifford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bryan Bloom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Gifford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bryan Bloom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sells FC's Woody Finney got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Domenic Edmondson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takis Oikonomopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takis Oikonomopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wallace Fields in the 29th minute of play. If Ed Bradshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Takis Oikonomopoulos came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Sells FC's Ed Bradshaw. But to his dismay, Ed Bradshaw quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Gifford made a kick off. A collision led to Sells FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Roy Webster hit a great ball. Lee Siegel's late challenge caught a Sells FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lee Siegel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Messi Daily Racing Form getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lee Siegel hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Woody Finney in the 58th minute of play forced Messi Daily Racing Form's goalkeeper Takis Oikonomopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Roy Webster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sells FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Messi Daily Racing Form the free kick. Jorge Gifford took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bryan Bloom. Bryan Bloom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Bryan Bloom came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Messi Daily Racing Form's Gregg Estes. But to his dismay, Gregg Estes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Takis Oikonomopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Woody Finney, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Domenic Edmondson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Takis Oikonomopoulos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 78 minutes into the game, Jorge Gifford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Bryan Bloom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Messi Daily Racing Form's Takis Oikonomopoulos got control of the ball when Domenic Edmondson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Domenic Edmondson took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Takis Oikonomopoulos to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Gifford in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryan Bloom saved Sells FC from getting behind. Wallace Fields fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Oikonomopoulos having to interfere. Sells FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Messi Daily Racing Form had won, even though Sells FC had held more of the ball.
