Charlton McDonough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roscoe Hargrove, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Oren Walsh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charlton McDonough. Chick-fil-a's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oren Walsh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 17 played minutes Accokeek AFC got a freekick which was hit by Heriberto Chamberlain. A collision led to Chick-fil-a getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Don Pruett hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Accokeek AFC's Dwight Boone got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oren Walsh in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlton McDonough prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Roscoe Hargrove came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Accokeek AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roscoe Hargrove couldn't finish the play. Rusty Walton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36thth minute of the game Oren Walsh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chick-fil-a's Charlton McDonough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chick-fil-a's Charlton McDonough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roscoe Hargrove in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Chick-fil-a was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Pruett to maneuver through the defense. Roscoe Hargrove scored 0-4 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charlton McDonough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Oren Walsh notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Chick-fil-a's Charlton McDonough. Charlton McDonough was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trinidad Hopper was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Oren Walsh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Accokeek AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oren Walsh got free with Charlton McDonough in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roscoe Hargrove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Charlton McDonough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 61 in the game by Oren Walsh from a close distance when the talented Charlton McDonough managed to make a qualified save. Chick-fil-a's players were relieved. Randall Rutledge charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randall Rutledge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Randall Rutledge hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Accokeek AFC's Roscoe Hargrove dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Oren Walsh kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Accokeek AFC's Roscoe Hargrove got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charlton McDonough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roscoe Hargrove in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Chick-fil-a getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Don Pruett hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Chick-fil-a's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roscoe Hargrove fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Charlton McDonough was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Roscoe Hargrove capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roscoe Hargrove really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chick-fil-a's goalkeeper Charlton McDonough, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Roscoe Hargrove fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Charlton McDonough, passed just outside the right post. When the final whistle sounded Accokeek AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chick-fil-a.
