Spectators: 7947 (Terracing: 5961, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Shawn Crowell started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ross Lott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcola Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ross Lott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Dutton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Magee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shawn Crowell, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 17th minute, Shawn Crowell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harker Heights FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sean Lamb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Dutton having to interfere. Ross Lott who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Wilfredo Dutton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Harker Heights FC defense, Ross Lott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Dutton. The Harker Heights FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Dutton should have stopped the shot. Harker Heights FC's Wilfredo Dutton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Harker Heights FC from getting a goal against them. Ross Lott could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Wilfredo Dutton made a huge save. Wilfredo Dutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Lamb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sean Lamb was the one to do the kick off. If Ross Lott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lanny Griffith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Harker Heights FC booed when Arcola Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oren Rangel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes Harker Heights FC got a freekick which was hit by Seth Proctor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Lamb in the 76th minute of play forced Harker Heights FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Dutton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Dutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odell Mixon in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Lee Salazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Dutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Lamb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Crowell in the 89th minute of play forced Arcola Youth Academy's goalkeeper Rodrigo Magee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, one of Harker Heights FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arcola Youth Academy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
