Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wallace Fields started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Rui Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Detroit AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Bloom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bryan Bloom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Salvatore Blankenship hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th match minute, Sells FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenic Edmondson to maneuver through the defense. When Wallace Fields came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sells FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wallace Fields couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Woody Finney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stevie Peterson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Marques took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bryan Bloom. Bryan Bloom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Salvador Spicer charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Spicer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Detroit AFC's Salvador Spicer got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jonas Siegel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wallace Fields in the 39th minute of play.

After 50 minutes, Woody Finney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sells FC and the Detroit AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Detroit AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rui Marques in the 53rd minute. The corner ended in Rui Marques almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sells FC's Bryan Bloom did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Sells FC's zone, Rui Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bryan Bloom came out of the goal and Rui Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Detroit AFC's Jonas Siegel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wallace Fields in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit AFC's zone, Ed Bradshaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Siegel came out of the goal and Ed Bradshaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bryan Bloom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Marques in the 82nd minute of play. Detroit AFC's Jess Coyle challenged an opponent after 90 minutes. The hit was so bad that he suffered a foot injury. Eusebio Carbajal charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebio Carbajal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Detroit AFC made a substitution. Sal Colvin replaced Jess Coyle. The supporters of Detroit AFC booed when Sells FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Carbajal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Spicer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Bloom having to interfere. A collision led to Sells FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Domenic Edmondson hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Detroit AFC's goalkeeper Jonas Siegel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ed Bradshaw. Detroit AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sells FC for a fine match.
