In the 23rd match minute, Accokeek AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Parker Womack to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Curt McLain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Accokeek AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Curt McLain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Siegel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Roscoe Hargrove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Rusty Walton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Accokeek AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rusty Walton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Siegel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Siegel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roscoe Hargrove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes Detroit AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dwight Boone who took care of the corner kick. Detroit AFC's Sydney Rodriguez suffered a sprained foot after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Detroit AFC's Sal Colvin was substituted for Sydney Rodriguez. Curt McLain hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The Detroit AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Accokeek AFC were winning 0-2.

Jonas Siegel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oren Walsh in the 58th minute. In the 65th minute, Salvador Spicer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
