Spectators: 8042 (Terracing: 6032, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tommie Medley started the match with the kick off. After having played for 6 minutes, Sebastian Pennington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillsborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Pennington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Tommie Medley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Jack Costello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Jack Costello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rex Pearson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute Tommie Medley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Sebastian Pennington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jack Costello stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Chick-fil-a's defenders and the ball went out. Hillsborough appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. After some careless play in the Chick-fil-a defense, Sebastian Pennington kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rex Pearson. The Chick-fil-a fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rex Pearson should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Jack Costello made a precise shot to the right of Rex Pearson. Chick-fil-a's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

52 minutes into the match, Jack Costello notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson. Rex Pearson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 57 played minutes, Hillsborough's Sebastian Pennington shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rex Pearson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hillsborough reached it. Chick-fil-a's Rex Pearson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Pennington in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chick-fil-a's zone, Jack Costello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Pearson came out of the goal and Jack Costello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donald Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommie Medley in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Hillsborough getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jack Cabourne hit a great ball. Willis Brandon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Jack Costello reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rex Pearson. The goal made the score 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Chick-fil-a's zone, Jack Cabourne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Pearson came out of the goal and Jack Cabourne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian Pennington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rex Pearson made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Jack Costello sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Hillsborough's Sebastian Pennington sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Pearson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hillsborough played a much better game than Chick-fil-a and deserved their victory. The Chick-fil-a players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
