After some careless play in the Detroit AFC defense, Ross Lott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Siegel. The Detroit AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Siegel should have stopped the shot. Rodrigo Magee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Detroit AFC's zone, Ross Lott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Siegel came out of the goal and Ross Lott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Odell Mixon hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A hard shot 28 in the game by Rui Marques from a close distance when the talented Rodrigo Magee managed to make a qualified save. Arcola Youth Academy's players were relieved. Rui Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Magee having to interfere. Young King sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute, Rui Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Detroit AFC booed when Arcola Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miles Ibarra didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sean Lamb to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Rui Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Detroit AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stevie Peterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Marques in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Magee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salvatore Blankenship hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Spicer during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Lamb in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Siegel saved Detroit AFC from getting behind. Rodrigo Magee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Marques in the 78th minute of the match. If Young King had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Arcola Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Couch. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Rui Marques put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rodrigo Magee. Ross Lott hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Arcola Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Marques came free, but Rodrigo Magee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 3-2 became the score in the 95th minute when Rui Marques elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
