Bill Burger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Davidson in the 11th minute of play. Leroy Blackburn kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Stow getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Brady Calhoun hit a great ball. In the 22nd match minute, Phoenix Suns Atletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levi Kent to maneuver through the defense. Randell Boyce came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Suns Atletic's Levi Kent. But to his dismay, Levi Kent quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Dorival Campidelis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Phoenix Suns Atletic! Bill Burger had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Marcellus Willingham's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 40th minute, Marcellus Willingham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bill Burger was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 46 minutes in the game Marcellus Willingham did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Esteban Lancaster. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Robison in the 48th minute of play forced Phoenix Suns Atletic's goalkeeper Bill Burger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony Robison to make the kick off. Ben Huntley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randell Boyce having to interfere. Ben Huntley hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Bill Burger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Robison, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Guillermo Davidson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Bill Burger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 59th minute, Ben Huntley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brady Calhoun got free with Bill Burger in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bill Burger made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Guillermo Davidson sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th match minute, Phoenix Suns Atletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Huntley to maneuver through the defense. When Ben Huntley came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Phoenix Suns Atletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Huntley couldn't finish the play. In the 70th match minute, Phoenix Suns Atletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leroy Blackburn to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Davidson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bill Burger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Phoenix Suns Atletic booed when Stow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Davidson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Randell Boyce came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Suns Atletic's Ben Huntley. But to his dismay, Ben Huntley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 84 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goalkeeper Bill Burger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guillermo Davidson. Bill Burger came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Stow's Guillermo Davidson. But to his dismay, Guillermo Davidson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Marcellus Willingham took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bill Burger. Phoenix Suns Atletic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 91st minute Tony Robison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Burger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Robison came free, but Bill Burger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
