Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Virgil Holt took the kick off in the first half of the match. Virgil Holt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute Ben Huntley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Kauffman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jason Kauffman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Huntley, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Ben Huntley came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Phoenix Suns Atletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Huntley couldn't finish the play. Phoenix Suns Atletic's Gustavo Blair got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Huntley in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jason Kauffman saved Germantown from getting behind. Jason Kauffman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enoch Hood, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Virgil Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Bill Burger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Germantown's Mervin Shipley got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phoenix Suns Atletic's Bill Burger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Holt in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Phoenix Suns Atletic getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Seth Deleon hit a great ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Ben Huntley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Suns Atletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Huntley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustavo Blair scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jason Kauffman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Gustavo Blair ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jason Kauffman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jason Kauffman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Huntley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Huntley in the 43rd minute of play forced Germantown's goalkeeper Jason Kauffman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Phoenix Suns Atletic were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Huntley was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Mervin Shipley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bill Burger was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Jason Kauffman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Blair in the 53rd minute of the match. Jason Kauffman had great luck who in the 53rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Gustavo Blair from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jason Kauffman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Huntley in the 75th minute. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Ben Huntley got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The long shot by Enoch Hood in the 80th minute really tested Jason Kauffman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Germantown's Landon Nugent got a free kick in the 88th minute. 93 minutes into the game, Virgil Holt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Bill Burger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Phoenix Suns Atletic could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Germantown throughout the match.
