Calvin Parham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Marcones in the 21st minute of the match. Calvin Parham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Marcones in the 25th minute of play forced Paddock Lake FC's goalkeeper Calvin Parham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Marcones showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Marcones to make the kick off. The supporters of Freer AFC booed when Paddock Lake FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Akers didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rick Bouchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shane Bagley's late challenge caught a Paddock Lake FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shane Bagley helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Freer AFC's Cason Frazier got a free kick in the 64th minute. Calvin Parham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 94 minutes into the game, Freer AFC's Christian Marcones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calvin Parham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. There was no doubt that Freer AFC were the better team. Freer AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
