Wilford Mott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Byron Kilgore in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Mike Shaw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bonne Terre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Shaw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Byron Samuel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th match minute, shenhua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mason Brandon to maneuver through the defense. After 13 played minutes Bonne Terre got a freekick which was hit by Mike Shaw. Byron Kilgore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilford Mott having to interfere. After a rather tough play, shenhua's Glenn Howe got a free kick in the 16th minute. Byron Samuel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilford Mott came out and tried to block the shot, but Byron Samuel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Wilford Mott was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Byron Kilgore showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Wilford Mott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Byron Samuel in the 26th minute. Byron Kilgore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilford Mott having to interfere. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, shenhua's goal looked a bit too open when Byron Samuel came free, but Wilford Mott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Rashad Starks notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Bonne Terre's Jon Beyer. Jon Beyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilford Mott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Byron Samuel in the 45th minute. Byron Kilgore struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Wilford Mott didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonne Terre. After 47 played minutes shenhua got a freekick which was hit by Mason Brandon. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Byron Samuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bonne Terre's supporters rose to their feet, but Byron Samuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilford Mott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilford Mott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Byron Kilgore, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Bonne Terre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Kilgore to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Jon Beyer managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when shenhua's Rashad Starks fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Byron Kilgore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Byron Kilgore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonne Terre. 90 minutes into the game, Bonne Terre's Mike Shaw nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilford Mott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Cameron Hadley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilford Mott having to make a save. After 96 played minutes shenhua got a freekick which was hit by Mason Brandon. There was no doubt that Bonne Terre were the better team. Bonne Terre's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
