Spectators: 8003 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christian Marcones got the match started through his kick off. Christian Marcones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Titus Pickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Marcones got free with Titus Pickens in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ethan Person received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Santo Fitzpatrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ernesto Bermudez came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Atletico Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Bermudez couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Christian Marcones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Titus Pickens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Santo Fitzpatrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ethan Person in the 29th minute of play. Christian Marcones in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Titus Pickens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Atletico Nacional's Ethan Person got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ethan Person struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Santo Fitzpatrick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Nacional. 39 minutes into the game, one of Freer AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Atletico Nacional a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Morgan French, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Freer AFC's Santo Fitzpatrick. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Nacional's zone, Shane Bagley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Titus Pickens came out of the goal and Shane Bagley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jacinto Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Freer AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Quintal couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ernesto Bermudez made the kick off in the second half. Nathanial Ervin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Quintal in the 58th minute of play forced Atletico Nacional's goalkeeper Titus Pickens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titus Pickens having to interfere. Jacinto Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Titus Pickens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Nathanial Ervin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Titus Pickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freer AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
