A collision led to Freer AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Geraldo Sampson hit a great ball. Santo Fitzpatrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After the first half Warrior Boys were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 53 played minutes Warrior Boys got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Souza. Duke Cardwell hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Sydney Vickers came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Warrior Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney Vickers couldn't finish the play. Santo Fitzpatrick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Todd Barrett in the 61st minute. In the 92nd match minute, Warrior Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Weston Crowder to maneuver through the defense. 99 minutes into the match, Freer AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Weston Crowder came free, but Santo Fitzpatrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Warrior Boys's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
