With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donald Brandt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Childersburg FC's Robert Eddy got a free kick in the 27th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Billy Jenkins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvador Goins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Donald Brandt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Sergio Christian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Billy Jenkins notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Poplar Tent's Pablo Sweet. Pablo Sweet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Poplar Tent's Sergio Christian slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donald Brandt. That made the score 1-3 after 82 minutes of play. In the 85th match minute, Childersburg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Alston to maneuver through the defense. Donald Brandt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Goins went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. If Billy Jenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Robert Eddy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Sweet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Poplar Tent could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Childersburg FC throughout the match.
