Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Pablo Sweet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A beautiful save bye Poplar Tent's goalie prevented a goal. Truchampionero FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner led Truchampionero FC's Fred Branco to fire away a dangerous shot which Pablo Sweet despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Wilbur Bain elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the last second Pablo Sweet throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wilbur Bain in the 14thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Poplar Tent booed when Truchampionero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. A.J. Belcher didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, Poplar Tent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Goins to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Poplar Tent getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Russ Dobbins hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Wilbur Bain recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pablo Sweet. Wilbur Bain showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Poplar Tent's Pablo Sweet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbur Bain in the 38th minute of play. Maurice Baca tried in the 40th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Pablo Sweet a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 4-0. 43 minutes into the game, Wilbur Bain cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Pablo Sweet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pablo Sweet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Bain in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Goins was the one to do the kick off. Pablo Sweet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Poplar Tent's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Branco came free, but Pablo Sweet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Wilbur Bain made a precise shot to the right of Pablo Sweet. Poplar Tent's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilbur Bain in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pablo Sweet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Branco in the 91st minute of play forced Poplar Tent's goalkeeper Pablo Sweet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poplar Tent's Pablo Sweet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Branco in the 93rd minute of play. Truchampionero FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
