Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Deshawn Rojas made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Aldridge in the 8th minute of play forced Tequesta FC's goalkeeper Trinidad Phillips to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sherwood McClain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, San Diego Lightning's Edgardo Case got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Sherwood McClain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, San Diego Lightning's Sherwood McClain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trinidad Phillips narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Deshawn Rojas made a precise shot to the right of Lloyd Irvin. San Diego Lightning's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in San Diego Lightning's zone, Jacques Carpenter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lloyd Irvin came out of the goal and Jacques Carpenter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deshawn Rojas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lloyd Irvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Will Pruitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lloyd Irvin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Bowman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tequesta FC's Daren Billings got a free kick in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

San Diego Lightning's Lloyd Irvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deshawn Rojas in the 55th minute of play. Lloyd Irvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Bowman, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Tequesta FC's Jacques Carpenter got a free kick in the 68th minute. Trinidad Phillips took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Lockwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Terry Bowman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Will Pruitt took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lloyd Irvin. Lloyd Irvin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 79 minutes into the game, Deshawn Rojas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Lloyd Irvin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Will Pruitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deshawn Rojas took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lloyd Irvin. Lloyd Irvin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Tequesta FC's Deshawn Rojas got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tequesta FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
