Köksal Erek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoff Donnelly having to interfere. Alec Wolfe kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to MONTERREY getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ace Laird hit a great ball. Los Angeles Rams's Geoff Donnelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Barros in the 23rd minute of play. If Eleuterio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoff Donnelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitchell Hopson in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Eleuterio Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geoff Donnelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Los Angeles Rams's goal looked a bit too open when Mitchell Hopson came free, but Geoff Donnelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Köksal Erek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Köksal Erek in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geoff Donnelly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jordan Walter during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MONTERREY booed when Los Angeles Rams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Walter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Angeles Rams's Jordan Walter got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Jordan Walter off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Barros in the 54th minute of play forced Los Angeles Rams's goalkeeper Geoff Donnelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Köksal Erek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Geoff Donnelly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mitchell Hopson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoff Donnelly having to interfere. Eleuterio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Geoff Donnelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Köksal Erek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Köksal Erek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geoff Donnelly having to make a save. A collision led to Los Angeles Rams getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jackson Bradley hit a great ball. Köksal Erek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Geoff Donnelly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Geoff Donnelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When MONTERREY's Köksal Erek in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mitchell Hopson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Köksal Erek in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geoff Donnelly saved Los Angeles Rams from getting behind. If Eleuterio Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Angeles Rams's Geoff Donnelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Los Angeles Rams from getting a goal against them. MONTERREY played a much better game than Los Angeles Rams and deserved their victory. The Los Angeles Rams players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
