Domenico Hooper started the match with the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Sherwood Rooney put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Brannik getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Sherwood Rooney hit a great ball. In the 7thth minute of the game Pat Holcomb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farmington Hills's Lance Pollock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Brannik getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Albert Hunt hit a great ball. J.P. Scott struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Lance Pollock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brannik. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by J.P. Scott during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. J.P. Scott hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Jamar Shaw could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Robert Bambas however easily saved by the left post. In the 19th minute Pat Holcomb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Pollock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Langston kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Lance Pollock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pat Holcomb in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute J.P. Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Pollock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Brannik booed when Farmington Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Shaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Seth Bassett fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farmington Hills's protests and gave Seth Bassett a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brannik booed when Farmington Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seth Bassett didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Farmington Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Ryan to maneuver through the defense. Lance Pollock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.P. Scott in the 44th minute of play. Carlo Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Pollock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlo Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Seth Bassett made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Seth Bassett made a precise shot to the right of Robert Bambas. Brannik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Colby Shelton fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farmington Hills's protests and gave Colby Shelton a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brannik booed when Farmington Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Colby Shelton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pat Holcomb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Farmington Hills's Lance Pollock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Farmington Hills from getting a goal against them. Robert Bambas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Ryan in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamar Shaw in the 75th minute of play forced Brannik's goalkeeper Robert Bambas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. J.P. Scott's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lance Pollock firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 81 minutes, J.P. Scott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brannik's supporters crossed their fingers, but J.P. Scott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When J.P. Scott came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Brannik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that J.P. Scott couldn't finish the play. Robert Bambas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Bassett in the 87th minute of play. Farmington Hills's Colby Shelton got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Colby Shelton off the ground. A collision led to Farmington Hills getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Colby Shelton hit a great ball. The supporters of Brannik booed when Farmington Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lance Pollock made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when J.P. Scott sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Farmington Hills had won after a very even match.
