Mickey Pham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolás Asencio's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Krzysztof Piątek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Raphael Dudley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erbin Deda. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. A collision led to Roanoke FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Wilfred Paul hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Fernando Davidson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mickey Pham showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 27 played minutes Roanoke FC got a freekick which was hit by Woody Woodall. Mickey Pham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolás Asencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raphael Dudley was the one to do the kick off. Mickey Pham was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Krzysztof Piątek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 51 minute of play. Cherokee Tijeras's Sal Brandon quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ahmed Zimmerman, made in the 58th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Cherokee Tijeras's Krzysztof Piątek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 67 minutes into the game, Nicolás Asencio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Mickey Pham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Krzysztof Piątek hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Roanoke FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mickey Pham should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Roanoke FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! The score was 1-5 after a penalty in the 87th minute, where Cherokee Tijeras:s Fernando Davidson tricked Roanoke FC:s Mickey Pham with a difficult ball by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolás Asencio got free with Mickey Pham in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Piątek in the 95th minute of play forced Roanoke FC's goalkeeper Mickey Pham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lane Womack came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Roanoke FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lane Womack couldn't finish the play. The Roanoke FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cherokee Tijeras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
