Seating: 1860, VIP seats: 109) After a rather tough play, Farmington Hills's Aaron Costa got a free kick in the 5th minute. Farmington Hills's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Jonatan Kellbom scored to the left of an out of position Lance Pollock, making the score, 1-0. After having played for 11 minutes, Jonatan Kellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC West Palm Beach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Kellbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Farmington Hills were awarded a corner. Seth Bassett went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Seth Bassett almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC West Palm Beach's Claudinho Taffarel did a great save. Darren Tan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. FC West Palm Beach's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamar Shaw in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Bassett in the 28th minute of play forced FC West Palm Beach's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes FC West Palm Beach got a freekick which was hit by Geoff Lehman. In the 35thth minute of the game Jamar Shaw who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC West Palm Beach's Claudinho Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudinho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Bassett, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. FC West Palm Beach's Claudinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seth Bassett in the 40th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Farmington Hills's Archie Ryan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seth Bassett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC West Palm Beach booed when Farmington Hills was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Archie Ryan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paul Noel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 58 in the game by Jamar Shaw from a close distance when the talented Claudinho Taffarel managed to make a qualified save. FC West Palm Beach's players were relieved. 62 minutes into the match, FC West Palm Beach's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jamar Shaw. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Jamar Shaw got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Claudinho Taffarel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was a well-played corner which Rob Spence managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 70th minute, Rob Spence hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seth Bassett struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Claudinho Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farmington Hills. FC West Palm Beach's Claudinho Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save FC West Palm Beach from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Ryan in the 75th minute of play forced FC West Palm Beach's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Paul Noel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC West Palm Beach's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Noel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Pollock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Jonatan Kellbom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC West Palm Beach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Paul Noel hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Farmington Hills players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC West Palm Beach.
