Spectators: 2100 (Terracing: 2000, Seating: 0, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Celedonio Artaldo got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Knoxville United FC's Ahmed Evans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geoff Donnelly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Los Angeles Rams's Jackson Bradley got a free kick in the 7th minute. Geoff Donnelly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanh Maloney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Angeles Rams's Geoff Donnelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Son Gaines in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Dario Diagur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21stth minute of the game Thanh Maloney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Angeles Rams's Geoff Donnelly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Kyle Háva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geoff Donnelly. Los Angeles Rams's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyle Háva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Bennett Ledbetter charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bennett Ledbetter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Los Angeles Rams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bennett Ledbetter to maneuver through the defense. In the 39thth minute of the game Son Gaines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Angeles Rams's Geoff Donnelly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geoff Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Son Gaines in the 41st minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Son Gaines made a kick off. Thanh Maloney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Geoff Donnelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bennett Ledbetter was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Foster Hickey during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Foster Hickey kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Son Gaines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Knoxville United FC's Son Gaines got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Nolan Covington left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knoxville United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of Los Angeles Rams booed when Knoxville United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Son Gaines didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Son Gaines came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Knoxville United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Son Gaines couldn't finish the play. Son Gaines took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geoff Donnelly. Geoff Donnelly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Los Angeles Rams's Geoff Donnelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Los Angeles Rams from getting a goal against them. Foster Hickey got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th match minute, Los Angeles Rams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Foster Hickey to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles Rams's zone, Son Gaines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geoff Donnelly came out of the goal and Son Gaines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Knoxville United FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Los Angeles Rams.
