Anabola Pojkarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Maloney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 played minutes Anabola Pojkarna got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Ryan. In the 32nd minute, Javier Huber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrick Braun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Great Falls Montana's Reed Davidson suffered a concussion after 37 minutes and had to leave the field. Osvaldo Maloneys short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Sheldon Lange to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Marc Hoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Maloney made the kick off in the second half. After 57th play minutes Darrel Sheets shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Sheldon Lange and just under the crossbar into goal. It was beautiful to see Great Falls Montana's Reuben Camp in action when he in the 62nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Alberto Ryan kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Reuben Camp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sheldon Lange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darrel Sheets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Reuben Camp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Jefferson Hickman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Great Falls Montana's Sheldon Lange didn't even have to move.
