Tyrell Lugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angola AFC. Reuben McCollum could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Colby Hemphill made a huge save. Reuben McCollum succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kenai's goalkeeper Tyrell Lugo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match Kirby Gilliam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tyrell Lugo skillfully saved the ball. In the 32nd minute, Wilbur Wetzel made a precise shot to the right of Tyrell Lugo. Kenai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kip Guidry in the 35th minute of play forced Kenai's goalkeeper Tyrell Lugo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anson Crain took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tyrell Lugo. Kenai's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angola AFC were furious when Gilbert Patten was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Colby Hemphill had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Duane Drake's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, Angola AFC's Colby Hemphill got control of the ball when Reuben McCollum tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colby Hemphill was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Ricardo Gilliam capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricardo Gilliam really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Ron Huber's late challenge caught a Kenai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Angola AFC booed when Kenai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Shapiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Grace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute Wilbur Wetzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrell Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenai walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
