Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Otto Cagle took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Anson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Pollard came free, but Thad Avery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute of the match, Austin Dickens got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daryl Rivers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bernardo Beal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thad Avery having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Austin Dickens got free with Daryl Rivers in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thad Avery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Beal's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Rashad McKinney hit a great ball. Austin Dickens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Rivers having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Anson AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio McNair. Thad Avery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Beal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Beal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Austin Dickens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daryl Rivers. Slaton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Austin Dickens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Bernardo Beal struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Thad Avery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slaton. In the 37th match minute, Anson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darnell Hoover to maneuver through the defense. When Slaton's Bernardo Beal in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anson AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Felipe Pollard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thad Avery was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Beal made a kick off. Jay Connors kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Slaton getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jay Connors hit a great ball. Slaton's Daryl Rivers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Dickens in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Slaton's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Cagle came free, but Daryl Rivers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Felipe Pollard sped through Anson AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thad Avery. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Bernardo Beal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slaton's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Beal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thad Avery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daryl Rivers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otto Cagle's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Daryl Rivers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcellus Paris, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Anson AFC's Thad Avery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Pollard in the 73rd minute of play. Bernardo Beal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Beal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thad Avery read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austin Dickens in the 81st minute of play forced Slaton's goalkeeper Daryl Rivers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Otto Cagle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daryl Rivers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Slaton's goal looked a bit too open when Marcellus Paris came free, but Daryl Rivers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Felipe Pollard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slaton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anson AFC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Cagle in the 86th minute of play forced Slaton's goalkeeper Daryl Rivers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thad Avery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Beal, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
