Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when A.J. Hoover got the match started through his kick off. Ali Thomson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from A.J. Hoover, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 8 minutes into the match, A.J. Hoover had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Thomson. Menlo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that A.J. Hoover was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Wayne Hickey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Thomson. Ali Thomson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from A.J. Hoover in the 18th minute of the match. Ali Thomson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Hickey in the 18th minute of play. Ali Thomson came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Flat Rock's A.J. Hoover. But to his dismay, A.J. Hoover quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Hickey in the 24th minute of play forced Menlo's goalkeeper Ali Thomson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Thomson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from A.J. Hoover in the 26th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Menlo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! 34 minutes into the game, A.J. Hoover cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Ali Thomson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Wayne Hickey made a precise shot to the right of Ali Thomson. Menlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 43rd minute A.J. Hoover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Thomson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Flat Rock were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the game, Flat Rock's Wayne Hickey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Thomson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when A.J. Hoover got free with Ali Thomson in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lincoln Herndon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammed Adams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ned Turner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, A.J. Hoover left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flat Rock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. 77 minutes into the match, Menlo's goalkeeper Ali Thomson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by A.J. Hoover. Mohammed Adams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lincoln Herndon in the 78th minute of play. Mohammed Adams showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ned Turner, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Lincoln Herndon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohammed Adams read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Lincoln Herndon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lincoln Herndon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammed Adams breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when A.J. Hoover got free with Ali Thomson in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Winston Fraser's late challenge caught a Flat Rock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Winston Fraser helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Menlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winston Fraser to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Menlo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ned Turner hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Ted McClain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Flat Rock's A.J. Hoover sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Thomson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Flat Rock's Wayne Hickey ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Thomson. Ali Thomson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. The Menlo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Flat Rock were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
