After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Johnnie Joyce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fair Haven's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnnie Joyce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colby Hemphill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angola AFC's Colby Hemphill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnnie Joyce in the 25th minute of play. Ron Huber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Manuel Morse made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Angola AFC's zone, Hal Sparks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colby Hemphill came out of the goal and Hal Sparks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hal Sparks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colby Hemphill having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Angola AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Johnnie Joyce came free, but Colby Hemphill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eddy Gabriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colby Hemphill having to interfere. When Ron Huber fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Angola AFC's protests and gave Ron Huber a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Ron Huber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Angola AFC's Colby Hemphill got control of the ball when Hal Sparks tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurence Dolan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Morse having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fair Haven players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
