Grant Calderon kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Ty Sweet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Benito Morin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 played minutes New York Black Eagles FC got a freekick which was hit by Ross Kimbrough. When Sturtevant AFC's Grant Calderon in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New York Black Eagles FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ty Sweet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Morin having to interfere. When Ty Sweet came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the New York Black Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ty Sweet couldn't finish the play. Tod Smallwood kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, New York Black Eagles FC's Waylon Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Morin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, New York Black Eagles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waylon Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, New York Black Eagles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bennett Spence came free, but Sal Carbajal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Morin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cory Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Sturtevant AFC's Bennett Spence got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th play minute Cory Henry came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Morin. 2-0. If Grant Calderon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florian Boudreaux stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Florian Boudreaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Morin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Morin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Boudreaux in the 55th minute of the match. Benito Morin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cedric Jeffries, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roscoe Villegas got free with Sal Carbajal in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Florian Boudreaux had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Morin. Sturtevant AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Boudreaux was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Florian Boudreaux struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Benito Morin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New York Black Eagles FC. 74 minutes into the match, Sturtevant AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Boudreaux came free, but Benito Morin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Morin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Boudreaux in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Sturtevant AFC defense, Ross Kimbrough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Morin. The Sturtevant AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Morin should have stopped the shot. Cory Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Benito Morin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sturtevant AFC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Tod Smallwood hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. New York Black Eagles FC fully deserved thier win.
