Wendell Whitfield kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Darrell Curran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milo Winn in the 3rd minute. Darrell Curran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merrill Justice in the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Devin Anderson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bartonville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miami Gators the free kick. After 14 played minutes Bartonville got a freekick which was hit by Devin Anderson. Owen Baker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lazaro Ruth, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 28 played minutes Miami Gators got a freekick which was hit by Milo Winn. In the 29th minute, Devin Anderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremy Hackett during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Miami Gators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremy Hackett to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bartonville booed when Miami Gators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milo Winn got free with Darrell Curran in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Justice in the 46th minute of play forced Bartonville's goalkeeper Darrell Curran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lazaro Ruth made a kick off. Lazaro Ruth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Baker having to interfere. Owen Baker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devin Anderson in the 56th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Bartonville got a freekick which was hit by Dallas Kearns. Darrell Curran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Knapp in the 61st minute of play. The Miami Gators fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Miami Gators's Merrill Justice looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Darrell Curran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bart Cartwright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Merrill Justice hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Milo Winn scored 2-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Darrell Curran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute Merrill Justice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darrell Curran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Stanton Sellers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Wendell Whitfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Baker was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Wendell Whitfield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Owen Baker made a huge save. Wendell Whitfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
