Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Merrill Justice took the kick off in the first half of the match. Kirby Vance sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mike Casey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Owen Baker made a huge save. Zachary Herndon struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Owen Baker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excelsior. Miami Gators's Owen Baker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Casey in the 7th minute of play. After 7 minutes, Mike Casey made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Miami Gators's Owen Baker tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mike Casey in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Owen Baker, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mike Casey struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Owen Baker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excelsior. Owen Baker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Casey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Owen Baker made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Mike Casey sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Mike Casey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mike Casey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Owen Baker made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milo Winn in the 32nd minute of play forced Excelsior's goalkeeper Fred Reagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Merrill Justice left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miami Gators fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Fred Reagan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milo Winn, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute Mike Casey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Jacob Knapp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Reagan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Excelsior getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Logan Newsome hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milo Winn in the 46th minute of play forced Excelsior's goalkeeper Fred Reagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Casey to strike the kick off in the second half. Merrill Justice's late challenge caught a Excelsior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Merrill Justice helped the player get up and apologised. Merrill Justice kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Miami Gators's Bart Cartwright got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th match minute, Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyler Crenshaw to maneuver through the defense. When Milo Winn came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Miami Gators fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milo Winn couldn't finish the play. Fred Reagan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milo Winn went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Fred Reagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merrill Justice in the 65th minute of the match. Merrill Justice kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Excelsior's Thanh Carrington was substituted for Logan Newsome. In the 70th match minute, Miami Gators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merrill Justice to maneuver through the defense. Emmanuel Rowe's late challenge caught a Miami Gators's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emmanuel Rowe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Emmanuel Rowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Excelsior's Zachary Herndon got a free kick in the 74th minute. Milo Winn made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 75thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Fred Reagan would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 83 minutes into the match, Excelsior's goalkeeper Fred Reagan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milo Winn. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Excelsior's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Milo Winn was slow to take the kick. During this time Miami Gators's players had a chance to rest. 86 minutes into the match, Excelsior's Mike Casey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Owen Baker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 91 minutes, Zachary Herndon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Excelsior and the Miami Gators players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miami Gators booed when Excelsior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachary Herndon didn't get a good kick on the ball.
