Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Santiago Gillespie started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Wendell Whitfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dallas Kearns hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Santiago Gillespie, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bronson Fitzgerald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wendell Whitfield's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Bronson Fitzgerald came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Bartonville's Lazaro Ruth. But to his dismay, Lazaro Ruth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Longview Heights getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Wendell Rooney hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wendell Whitfield in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bronson Fitzgerald saved Longview Heights from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Santiago Gillespie took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Darrell Curran to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 39 minutes, Clayton Vazquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longview Heights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clayton Vazquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Bartonville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Kitchen to maneuver through the defense. Randy Bynum lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 49th minute, Randy Bynum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Longview Heights's Santiago Gillespie got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
Wendell Whitfield might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bronson Fitzgerald. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wendell Whitfield ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Longview Heights's zone, Devin Anderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bronson Fitzgerald came out of the goal and Devin Anderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Ben McClellan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Longview Heights booed when Bartonville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Kitchen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darrell Curran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Baggett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darrell Curran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Gillespie, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Darrell Curran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Gillespie in the 72nd minute of play. Bronson Fitzgerald made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Wendell Whitfield sent off a good shot on target. Darrell Curran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Gillespie in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Longview Heights's Jack Baggett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darrell Curran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Baggett in the 81st minute of play forced Bartonville's goalkeeper Darrell Curran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wendell Whitfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Bronson Fitzgerald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Jack Baggett notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Bartonville's Darrell Curran. Darrell Curran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jack Baggett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Santiago Gillespie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darrell Curran was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Darrell Curran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Baggett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darrell Curran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clayton Vazquez in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Longview Heights fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bartonville had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
