The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Romeo Crane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Reagan having to interfere. Romeo Crane hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Crane in the 16th minute of play forced Excelsior's goalkeeper Fred Reagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harri Mihklisaar was a little too slow when Zachary Herndon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donovan Landrum in the 26th minute of play forced Excelsior's goalkeeper Fred Reagan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Excelsior defense, Donovan Landrum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Reagan. The Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Reagan should have stopped the shot. Harri Mihklisaar made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Zachary Herndon sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 34 minutes, Donovan Landrum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sin City Sinners's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donovan Landrum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zachary Herndon struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Harri Mihklisaar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excelsior. After 44 minutes, Sammy Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sin City Sinners and the Excelsior players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sammy Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeo Crane was the one to do the kick off. After 56 played minutes Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Logan Newsome. Donovan Landrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sin City Sinners's Robby Proctor in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Excelsior's goalie prevented a goal. Fred Reagan made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Romeo Crane sent off a good shot on target. Donovan Landrum who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Fred Reagan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harri Mihklisaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Casey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the game, Donovan Landrum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Fred Reagan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Excelsior made a substitution. Thanh Carrington replaced Logan Newsome. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robby Proctor got free with Fred Reagan in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zachary Herndon kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachary Herndon to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Ned Peralta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fred Reagan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fred Reagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jay Romero in the 88th minute of play. After 90th play minutes Ned Peralta shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Fred Reagan and just under the crossbar into goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Excelsior fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty!
