Spectators: 7988 (Terracing: 5992, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) Miami Gators's Merrill Justice started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Milo Winn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudley Blankenship having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Justice in the 5th minute of play forced Fountain Inn's goalkeeper Dudley Blankenship to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merrill Justice in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dudley Blankenship, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Merrill Justice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merrill Justice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Keenan Mora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Owen Baker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudley Blankenship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merrill Justice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Merrill Justice might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dudley Blankenship. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merrill Justice ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 30 in the game by Merrill Justice from a close distance when the talented Dudley Blankenship managed to make a qualified save. Fountain Inn's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stanton Hurd during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dudley Blankenship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merrill Justice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Fountain Inn's goalkeeper Dudley Blankenship had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milo Winn. Miami Gators's Milo Winn was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 45th minute Merrill Justice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudley Blankenship saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fountain Inn's Dudley Blankenship played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merrill Justice in the 47th minute of play. Merrill Justices short, quick shot in the 49thth minute got Dudley Blankenship to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keenan Mora stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacob Knapp struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Dudley Blankenship didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miami Gators. 67 minutes into the match, Fountain Inn's goal looked a bit too open when Milo Winn came free, but Dudley Blankenship reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colby Bennett charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Colby Bennett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Milo Winn might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dudley Blankenship. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milo Winn ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Miami Gators getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Merrill Justice hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Merrill Justice in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudley Blankenship prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 85 minutes, Milo Winn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miami Gators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milo Winn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Milo Winn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dudley Blankenship was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Milo Winn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dudley Blankenship took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merrill Justice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Miami Gators players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
