Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) South Venice's Colin Stroh started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, New York Black Eagles FC's Phillip Everett got a free kick in the 3rd minute. South Venice's Reggie Reyes got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sal Carbajal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donovan Simon in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, New York Black Eagles FC's goalkeeper Sal Carbajal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Rhodes. Florian Boudreaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hunter Pierre having to interfere. Jonas Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Sal Carbajal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Colin Stroh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sal Carbajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donovan Simon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Sal Carbajal made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Kory Welch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Jordan Andersen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hunter Pierre skillfully saved the ball. After 26 played minutes South Venice got a freekick which was hit by Warner Pena. South Venice's Hunter Pierre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Boudreaux in the 35th minute of play. Florian Boudreaux struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Hunter Pierre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New York Black Eagles FC. Phillip Everett hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. New York Black Eagles FC's Cory Henry quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicky Gilliam, made in the 43rd minute of the game. Ronald Flaherty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hunter Pierre having to make a save. A hard shot by Warner Pena from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Sal Carbajal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian Boudreaux to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, South Venice's Kory Welch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sal Carbajal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in South Venice reached it. Sal Carbajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sal Carbajal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Stroh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when New York Black Eagles FC's Florian Boudreaux fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. New York Black Eagles FC's attentive Cory Henry managed to snatch the ball when Nicky Gilliam made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the game, Jonas Rhodes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. South Venice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New York Black Eagles FC the free kick. Hunter Pierre came out of the goal and Florian Boudreaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Florian Boudreaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. New York Black Eagles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Boudreaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hunter Pierre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alonzo Beatty kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Florian Boudreaux's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Hunter Pierre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. New York Black Eagles FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
