An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Pepper in the 8th minute of play forced Arbutus FC's goalkeeper Ismael Everett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arbutus FC's Ismael Everett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Pepper in the 14th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Bad Axe's Quinn Jackson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ismael Everett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Pepper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Arbutus FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bad Axe were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Juan Goodman made the kick off in the second half. Henry Pepper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Everett having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Arbutus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Goodman to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 74 in the game by Quinn Jackson from a close distance when the talented Ismael Everett managed to make a qualified save. Arbutus FC's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Arbutus FC defense, Henry Pepper kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Everett. The Arbutus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Everett should have stopped the shot. If Quinn Jackson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Arbutus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Allred came free, but Ismael Everett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bad Axe played a much better game than Arbutus FC and deserved their victory. The Arbutus FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
