Dyer FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Gavin Joyce scored to the left of an out of position Elvis Seymour, making the score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Virgil Thomson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Tad Duff made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Virgil Thomson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tad Duff. Elkhorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgil Thomson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Tuan LeBlanc succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Elkhorn had won after a very even match.
