Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ace Dougherty started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Taci Yekta made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ace Dougherty sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Ace Dougherty reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Taci Yekta. The goal made the score 1-0. Henry Tormes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Irmo's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Koenig came free, but Noel Grant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Grant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micah Erwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irmo's Noel Grant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daron Strong in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Henry Tormes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savannah Striders and the Irmo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Savannah Striders's Henry Tormes got a free kick in the 24th minute. Rich Lane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taci Yekta having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Irmo got a freekick which was hit by J.C. Wilkinson. Ace Dougherty succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 30th playminute. In the 34th minute, Guillermo Koenig made a precise shot to the right of Noel Grant. Irmo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Rich Lane in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Taci Yekta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Savannah Striders's Songurbey Yalınalp got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ace Dougherty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irmo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ace Dougherty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taci Yekta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Koenig to make the kick off. If Micah Erwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irmo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savannah Striders the free kick. A collision led to Irmo getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerrod Crozier during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
