Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgil Thomson to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Pete Maxwell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hot Springs Village and the Dyer FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kasey Bernier helped the player get up and apologised. 91 minutes into the match, Arthur Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elvis Seymour. Dyer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arthur Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Elvis Seymour was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Hot Springs Village's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
