Henry Tormes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grant Sullivan during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute Micah Erwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Wolff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Starnes in the 14th minute of play forced Savannah Striders's goalkeeper Taci Yekta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Wolff made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Guillermo Koenig sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Nicholas Wolff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 19 minutes into the match, Novatoo's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Koenig came free, but Nicholas Wolff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Guillermo Koenig put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nicholas Wolff. After a rather tough play, Savannah Striders's Henry Tormes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Taci Yekta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randell Rivera in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes in the game, Guillermo Koenig fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nicholas Wolff having to interfere. Henry Tormes struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Nicholas Wolff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Savannah Striders. In the 31st minute, Leonard Gann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nigel Whalen's late challenge caught a Savannah Striders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nigel Whalen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Novatoo getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nigel Whalen hit a great ball. Nicholas Wolff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Koenig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Novatoo's Nicholas Wolff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Koenig in the 37th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Koenig to make the kick off. If Randell Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Guillermo Koenig put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nicholas Wolff. Randell Rivera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Taci Yekta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Tormes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Randell Rivera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Taci Yekta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Savannah Striders's goalkeeper Taci Yekta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Guillermo Koenig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Wolff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
