Irmo's Noel Grant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joesph Browne in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Joesph Browne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berwyn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joesph Browne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ace Dougherty in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Martínez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerrod Crozier hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Irmo's Noel Grant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Irmo from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Berwyn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ace Dougherty was slow to take the kick. During this time Irmo's players had a chance to rest. Ace Dougherty kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Irmo got a freekick which was hit by Wallace Agostino. In the 30th minute of the match George Singletary shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Noel Grant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ace Dougherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Oscar Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendan Payne struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Oscar Martínez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Irmo. The audience was convinced that Antony Hinwood's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Grant was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Samuel Love sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
